Extra Dose of Vitamin D at Red Rock Canyon

Earlier Hours at Red Rock Canyon

Flowers at Red Rock Canyon

We survived daylight saving time, or did we?

I’m still dragging along like a zombie, but with semi better looking hair. Or at least I tell myself that.

Either way, the extra sunlight has awakened me from my funk.

With the longer days, the hours have changed at Red Rock Canyon.

Starting Monday, April 1st, the scenic drive opens at 6 a.m. so you can start hitting the trail before all the crowds and tourists show up. Spring is one of the busiest times of the year, so the earlier the better.

Red Rock Canyon will close at 8 p.m. so there’s plenty of daylight for hiking.

At least once, I recommend a late afternoon to night hike as the sun starts going down at 7 p.m. in Las Vegas.
