Favorite Spring Hikes at Red Rock Canyon

I’m always in anticipation of Spring.

Ahhhh, I can feel it now.

Warm weather, flowers blooming, birds chirping, and trails to be discovered.

Spring truly marks a reset of my goals and plans for the upcoming year. The coldness and harshness of Winter is gone. Let a new chapter emerge.

In honor of the first day of Spring this week, here’s a list of my favorite hikes I’ll be hitting this season at Red Rock Canyon.

Pine Creek

This gem of a hike often gets overlooked, but it should be on your list when the snow and rain is over.

It’s full of springs, and I can’t get enough of the sound of rushing water.

First Creek

I’m a big fan of hikes with water, so I have to mention First Creek because of the ‘Secret Waterfall’. This is a hike I’ll only do in the Spring.

Turtlehead Peak

For a challenge, I highly recommend this trail. If you’re a slow and steady hiker like me, you’ll need the cooler weather to accomplish this feat. The views are incredible.

Honorable Mention:

Ice Box Canyon is a must in the Spring because there will be a small waterfall and spring at the end.
